Mustache

Paul took me out to dinner tonight for my birthday.  Afterwards, we gave the boys each two quarters to use in one of those cheap toy machines.  As they were each deciding what they were going to get, James pointed out a machine that had fake mustaches.  He looked up at Paul, who has a mustache, and asked him, "Dad, do you want me to get you a real mustache?"

Woof, Woof, Woof

I left the kids in the truck for the 30 seconds it took me to run into the post office and grab the mail from our box.  When I got back into the truck, this is what happened.


James and Sam:  Woof, woof, woof.
James:  Mom, that dog loves me!  And I told him I love him to.  Woof.  Woof.
James:  I speak dog.
Sam:  Who speaks donkey?
James:  Not me.  I only speak dog and cat.

A New Blog

I am starting a new blog dedicated solely to cooking.  Bookmark it and check it frequently!  The new blog is called I am not afraid of the kitchen!  It will be set up into categories.  I hope you enjoy the recipes as much as I will enjoy making them!

Samuel's 9th Birthday

Almost two weeks later, I'm finally going to post pictures.  Wishing I had a nice camera like my sister's.  Although, I'm sure I still wouldn't be able to take as good of pictures as Kelsie does! Since Sam doesn't like cake, I made him brownies this year.  He only ate a couple of bites which is better than none, but next year I will be trying something different.

New Stove

My new stove was installed last week.  It's a very nice Jenn-Air with removable inserts.  This is shown with a glass top insert on one side and the grill insert on the other.  And the oven works beautifully, and is FULL sized!  Yeah.  Now I just have to wait for the installers to come back and cut out a new hole for the vent. Once that is working, I'll be trying out that grill side.

Duh moment

I had what I call a "duh moment" a couple of days ago.  Probably proof that my hair is growing in much blonder than before.  I was getting ready to leave the house, so I wanted to change out of my only-at-home-pants into some jeans.  I folded up my pants, put them into the drawer, pulled out a pair of pants and put them on.  It was a couple of minutes before I realized I had put on the same pants I had folded and put in the drawer.  DUH!

Bagels

I have finally gotten a new charger for my laptop so I was able to get my bagel pictures uploaded.  Unfortunately, I can't remember which bagel recipe I used, so pictures are all I am posting tonight.
