San Francisco

We took the boys to California this weekend to see their Auntie and Uncle before school started.  As we were heading south on the 101 approaching the Golden Gate Bridge from the north, I tried to get the boys to appreciate the scenery.  They glanced at the bridge, said, "Oh nice," and went back to playing their portable video games.  Needless to say, those got put away quick and with their attention in the right place, they were amazed at the sight of the bridge.  It was a chilly, foggy day, but we still enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Alcatraz.

Seals and birds off the coast of Monterey.

Kim, Brian, Sam, Paul, and James watching the seals and birds.

Surrogate mother otter and her baby.

Jellyfish

Sea Dragon

Leafy Sea Horse (This one was my favorite!)

Sea Horses

Spotted Jellies

This one isn't a very good pic, but James said, "Mom, this one's staring at me!"   So I had to try and get one of it.  It sat in the same place looking straight at us the whole time.

Sam and James watching the waterfall with their Auntie.

Sam, the barnacle.
