Bubbles galore

As a kid, I remember getting my mouth washed out with soap if I used inappropriate language.  I don't think this would work on my kids.

Too hot

James (in the bathtub):  Mom, I'm too hot!
Me:  Are you clean so you can get out?
James:  No.  I'm too hot.  I feel like I'm turning into chicken!

Too long

I have never really had long nails.  Cooking, playing the piano, cleaning, knitting...nails get in the way.  However, I decided to see if I could grow them out and see what they would look like.  Now they look nice, but they are getting on my nerves and I can't decide what to do with them.

It's tough to take a picture of your own hand!

Ward Party July 30th

I just got around to transferring pictures from my phone to my computer.  These were taken at Sand Harbor.

Squaw

We took the boys up to Squaw yesterday for a star show.  I had never been up there and it was so beautiful!  We had a good time.

San Francisco

We took the boys to California this weekend to see their Auntie and Uncle before school started.  As we were heading south on the 101 approaching the Golden Gate Bridge from the north, I tried to get the boys to appreciate the scenery.  They glanced at the bridge, said, "Oh nice," and went back to playing their portable video games.  Needless to say, those got put away quick and with their attention in the right place, they were amazed at the sight of the bridge.  It was a chilly, foggy day, but we still enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Alcatraz.

Seals and birds off the coast of Monterey.

Kim, Brian, Sam, Paul, and James watching the seals and birds.

Surrogate mother otter and her baby.

Jellyfish

Sea Dragon

Leafy Sea Horse (This one was my favorite!)

Sea Horses

Spotted Jellies

This one isn't a very good pic, but James said, "Mom, this one's staring at me!"   So I had to try and get one of it.  It sat in the same place looking straight at us the whole time.

Sam and James watching the waterfall with their Auntie.

Sam, the barnacle.

A car from the olden days

We were down in Reno today and saw many neat vehicles that are in town for Hot August Nights.  We saw one while we were at the gas station that looked pretty close to this one.

James:  Wow!  Look at that car!
Sam:  Yeah, it's a car from the olden days.  You know like the 1980's!

My boys sure are aging me fast!
